3 years ago an experienced team of trainers, facilitators and educators embarked on the development of a specialised leadership course to address the need for safety cultural change as required by a long time client; Maersk Contractors.
The development of what is known today as the CONNECT Safety Leadership Program (SLP), took place over a period of 2 years, principally on board the oil exploration rig Nan Hai 6, in West Australian waters.
The company CONNECT SL Pty Ltd was then formed to provide the expertise to further develop and market the Safety Leadership Program.
Over the last 12 months CONNECT SL has implemented the Safety Leadership Program on several rigs in the North Sea and the West Coast of Australia. Further extensive work in the North Sea and in Australia is contracted or under proposal. Connect will open an office in Colorado, USA in July 2008 to service its mining services clients in the Americas and has opened discussion with a major training facility in Asia to service its clients at a central South-East Asian training venue.
Connect is a specialised training company that employs mature, experienced professional trainers and coaches. By utilising only experienced people and then putting them through our own training regime, we ensure sustainable high levels of professional facilitating and coaching performance.
